“Connecting afterschool providers to Federal resources that support children and youth during out-of-school hours.”
When I was a kid, we had something like this: Mom.
Seriously, since when is it the government’s responsibility to make sure everyone has a functioning TV?
“Gov. Chris Gregoire has named Samuel Green as the Washington State Poet Laureate, a position established by the Legislature this year to build awareness and appreciation of poetry across the state.”
Figures. Transportation projects are way over budget, DSHS is a mess and budget crunched counties are cutting deputies. Sounds like we need a poet.
“Call today for free coaching and a supply of free nicotine patches or gum.”
Anybody else see the irony in the state government collecting huge cigarette taxes while at the same time nannying people into quitting smoking?
“The Weight-control Information Network provides the general public, health professionals, the media, and Congress with up-to-date, science-based information on weight control, obesity, physical activity, and related nutritional issues.”
